How much does a website cost?
There are three main costs.
- Cost to develop it. This involves finding a trusted WebMaestro.
- Cost to “Register” your Domain name. For example, “www.yoursitename.com”
- Cost to “Host” your website. The monthly cost of storing your website content.
Cost #1 will vary depending on your needs and how long it will take. It is like choosing from a restaurant menu. What are you going to order? This is typically a one-time cost.
Cost #2 and #3 will also vary. Registering a Domain name averages about $10 a year. Hosting the contents of your website (your text, photos, videos) can range from $6.00 – $50.00 a month.
How long will it take?
Even the most basic websites must be thought through for their design and features needed. A typical website takes about 50 hours. Every single page on your site needs to be designed to your specifications. Every photo or video on your site needs to be properly enhanced to be viewed.
